Last one for tonight. Genderbent Guy and Belt from The Croods.
A Quick Thought on the How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy and DreamWorks’ reputation…
If DreamWorks and director Dean DeBlois can pull this trilogy off — and after seeing DeBlois’ work in Lilo & Stitch and the original HTTYD, I have faith that he can — Dragons could become the new face of DreamWorks.
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time DW became famous for something other than Shrek. While Shrek was considered by many to be a revolutionary film at the time of its release, the dated jokes, cringe-worthy musical numbers and less than stellar sequels have seriously tarnished its once ‘edgy’ reputation — and DreamWorks’ rep along with it.
With the Dragons films, DW has the chance to reestablish themselves worldwide as the creators of high quality, critically claimed, audience-adored animation. Honestly, I can’t wait to see this happen!
McDonald’s had Happy Meal toys for the first How to Train Your Dragon film. (Look at li’l Hiccup & Astrid!!!) Does anyone know if they will have toys for the second?
Tada~ GenderBent ’Guy’ from ‘The Croods’ !!
I really wanted to sketch this out, mostly because I really want to cosplay him! (her?)
ever since my roommates pointed out (and i quote) “its like watching Kona” while watching Guy in the Croods.
anyways! enjoy the little sketch! sorry for the ugly water mark :(
Looks like DreamWorks and director Dean DeBlois are going epic with HTTYD2. In related news, looks like I’m going opening night.
Quick Eep “speedpaint” (if you can call it that after an hour or so) before I went to bed yesterday. It was pretty amusing watching Eep trying to catch the light which inspired this.
This adorable interpretation of Eep comes from “hopeful artist and animator” Naomi (a.k.a. StitchxToothless).
Naomi’s deviantArt account is full of super-cool, super-cartoony artwork. To see more, click here.
omg Eep, why are you so cute
